Our six generously spaced Métairie Cottages dot the property, offering coveted residential living in enviable privacy. Skillfully renovated, each constellation-named cottage offers oversized living rooms, fully equipped kitchens, and the beauty of unspoiled countryside on the doorstep. The cottages can easily be reached from the heart of the Château by bike or the Domaine electric house cars. Pets are welcome.
Where is the hotel located? Domaine des Etangs is placed on 2,500 forested acres south of Paris in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
How far is Domaine des Etangs from the airport? The estate rests a scenic 40- to 45-minute drive from Angoulême-Cognac and Limoges-Bellegarde airports, and helicopter transfers are easily arranged. Bordeaux Airport is roughly a two hour drive away.
Does Domaine des Etangs have a spa? Domaine des Etangs has Le Moulin des Etangs Spa, housed in a historic mill and offering massages, body treatments, an indoor pool, steam baths and a frigidarium; spa appointments are recommended before arrival.
Is Domaine des Etangs good for couples? Yes. Our 13th Century château offers romantic dining experiences and world-class spa treatments inspired by the rhythms of the surrounding nature.
Is moving around the estate easy for people with reduced mobility? Although the estate is committed to improving comfort for people with reduced mobility, it is important to note that due to the size and historical nature of the estate, some accessibility challenges remain. Circulation and access to some areas may be limited, as the expansive grounds and heritage buildings can present mobility constraints.
Does Domaine des Etangs have a pool? Domaine des Etangs has an indoor pool open daily from 9 AM to 10 PM and an outdoor pool open from June through September, from 10 AM to 8 PM.
All dogs are welcome in our Cottages, the Longères and throughout the park. (25 €/ dog/ night) | To preserve the historic character of our XIIIᵗʰ-century Château, pets are not permitted in this building.
